８月に刊行された写真集「Hotel Juanga」。本展は写真集のコンセプトである
「どこかに存在する架空のホテル」の１室をイメージしたインスタレーション
作品です。東京、香川に続く巡回展となります。ちょっと不思議な世界観に浸り
ながら、ひっそりと語りかけてくる写真たちとの対話をどうぞお楽しみください。

PROFILE

鈴木桂子　SUZUKI KEIKO

1990年代に映画監督・園子温率いる街頭詩パフォーマンス「東京ガガガ」に参加、

以後約10年にわたり自主映画製作に関わる。作品制作の中でカメラに興味を持ち、

中古の銀塩カメラを購入。白黒フィルムでの撮影・現像・引き伸ばしまでをこなす

ようになるが、火災という不運に見舞われ機材一式を喪失。写真制作から遠ざかる。

2009年留学のため渡英。滞在先のロンドンでフォトグラフィーワークショップに

参加したことを機に、制作意欲が再熱。2011年に帰国後、自らを被写体とした

コンセプチャルポートレート制作などをメインに活動している。

n the 90’s Keiko Suzuki joined film maker Sion Sono’s guerrilla performance art project called
“Tokyo GA GA GA”, then assisted him in his film work for over 10years. During those days, she
bought a second-hand analogue camera. She loves black and white photography and handles the
developing and printing, as well as the shooting.However, unfortunately, she lost all of her
photographicequipment, because of a house fire, so shestopped her activity. In 2009, she went to
the UK to study and she joined many photography workshops in London, which brought back
memories and made herbecome engrossed in photography again. In 2011, after studying abroad,
she started shooting again, mainly conceptual self-portrait photography.
